Summer is here. It is finally here!
We had our last Wednesday night event tonight and it went very well. Bands sounded good, kids had a good time, lots of pies in the face and our buddy Jason spoke. I love the summer. Work slows down. You have time for those projects that you didn't have time for during the year. Lots of fun events going on and best of all the warm sunlight. Yes, I love Summer. Even more so in this stage of my life. When I was a kid in California, summers were cool but boring and long. Not a whole lot to do. I wanted to be entertained all the time. Now summers go by way too fast.
This summer is jam packed with events. We are leading 2 missions trips to Philly, We are taking 60+ kids on houseboats to Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky and numerous "Hang Times" to hang with kids. Sunday night we are doing a new thing called "Summer Smash" which will be at Tunnel Park on Sunday nights. Should be pretty fun just hanging out listening to what God has done over the year and what He is doing now in kids lives. It is a plus that it is at the beach. You might ask why we are calling it "Summer Smash"? Well, I heard from a friend that the new word replacing cool is "Super Smash". Isn't weird the words that become popular like "cool" or "awesome" or "dude"! Anyways that might be good for some trivia somewhere but not so sure where.
Enjoy the warm breese of the hot summer sun. Oh, and wear sunscreen.

Josh, what's with the picture of the makinaw bridge?

The makinaw bridge was a picture I had taken when we were up there a year or so ago. I though it would make a good image for my summer topic. Maybe I should of used an image of me in a Speedo?
Now, that you mention it, I LOVE the makinaw bridge!!!
