The great outdoors

Do you ever sit quietly in the outdoors?
Have you heard the wind thru the trees lately?
How about the sound of a rushing stream?

You might be wondering what brings on questions such as these? I think that the sounds and situations that we can experience in the outdoors is a great alternative to the business of life. I also think in those time we can experience God in a much closer way.

I just got out of a meeting with a good buddy of mine who loves the outdoors. We both like to hike, backpack, mountain bike & all around just be in the wilderness. We are planning on getting the outdoor part of Student Ministries up and running. Talking about all of what that entails gets me excited to get into that stuff again. I honestly have had some of the best God moments in the great outdoors. It seems like I am closer to God there than any other place. I love hanging out in his backyard!
