    Sun, Water & God

There really is not much more than that. Again, we found ourselves in the midst of 3 great things this past weekend. The Xcom journey was an awesome one at that. We had no broken transmissions, no busted windshield wiper, no thousands of dollars in damage and most of all Chris Gail was not allowed to drive the boats!

Overall we had a blast! Days filled with sunburn, water skiing, tubbing, swimming, zip lines and best of all getting to know each other. It seemed that each boat had an eclectic mix of students and leaders. Surprisingly most of the boats came away feeling that it worked out well. I was really surprised with the kids on my boat. We all worked together pretty much to make our meals awesome, keep the place halfway clean and to take aim at passer-biers in the water with water balloons!
This year we focused in on what convictions that God has given us. No, not what we feel guilty about but what makes our blood boil? What do we want to combat and fight for? One night Mike Fackler spoke and the other night Jaimie Campbell spoke. I know they each did a wonderful job but I did not catch Mike's talk due to taking care of some problems. I just want to give a shout out to Jaimie and let her know that she did a great job. I really think that she is meant for bigger and better things.

We had some great discussion on our boat. I really think that it got all of us seeking out what God has for us. I am the type of person that doesn't think about this five year plan. Heck, I barely remember what is going on this weekend. I was a good time to think about it and God really showed up. The last night we spent time in prayer for one another and commissioned each other to go out and act on what we heard from God this weekend. I really feel that God has something in mind for me to combat the falsehood that Christianity has taken on. In other words, People with masks on - hiding behind the religion of Christianity and don't really have a relationship. They are not trying to develop a relationship. That is really what gets my blood boiling.

Anyways a great trip and can't wait to do it again. Maybe we will rent one of the new luxury boats for all the leaders and the kids can get the crap boats!
