We had our first Switchback trip this weekend and had a lot of fun. We had a good mix of kids and nobody got hurt beside the few sore muscles and blisters. Normal for a backpacking trip. We had a good discussion on Genesis 1 & 2 and how God created everything out of nothing. I made a challenge to the kids to look through a greatful lens, realizing that everything comes from God. I told them that I was going to write something down everyday for a month that I hadn't noticed or have just passed by and extended that to them. Who knows if they will do that but it would be good to get in a habbit of doing that. This way we can worship God through the small things.
During the trip I noticed how thankfull I am to have knees. If we didn't have them it would be very difficult to go anywhere but flat ground. Praise God for my knees!
