all the movies now a days? Seems as though there are very few quick witted funny movies out. There does seem to be a lot of dumb homor. Now don't get me wrong, I cut my teeth on Three Stooges but come on. There are enough Cable Guy's out there. Can we have a few Princess Brides, a few Pink Panthers out there (I know, I know. They redid it but doesn't look as good). And that is what I am talking about. Everybody is redoing something: Starsky & Hutch, Pink Panther, Around the world in 80 days! What the heck? Can we have some original movies?
Also, there seems to be this "Let's make a weird movie" idea floating around. IE: Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Garden State (Which prompted this entry) or Lemony Snicket (I saw this one this weekend and wow. I liked it but is was really weird. I though that Jim Carry did an excellent job in his character).
If you are a director or screen writer, please, make some clever, "We have to think" movies & let me know what they are,

I hit Dib's blog all the time. I appreciate your rant on lack of creatively funny movies. I think it's also true of music. The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, Beach Boys, BeeGee's - still on tour, where's Rick Astley or REO Speedwagon??
