I am not sure how many of you know anything about this but, would love to start a discussion about the differences between these two ways of thought.
Lately I have been dwelling on this idea. I am not sure what lead me to this other than maybe some thoughts by Ray Vanderlaan, talking to Kinger in the past, personally liking the end result more than the process and probably many others.
Basically, as far as I understand it the main difference between the two is that Eastern though & culture put the emphasis on the process/journey and not the end result. Western though has a goal in mind and works toward that goal. There are steps involved that focus on the goal. Eastern though is more concerned in growing through the process/journey.
I am definitely a Western thinker but I am exploring what it means to be an Eastern thinker. I like the though of enjoying the process. Right now I hate it. No matter what it is I want it here and now. I have always been attracted to the more laid back, go with the flow attitude and it really seems as though the Eastern mindset is that way.
Please join me in this dialog by commenting your thoughts on Western Vs. Eastern though.
