    A Love Story

So I come home the other night and notice that my lovely wife had been shopping. Awesome, there was now food in the house. I take my coat off, say hello and fix a couple of frozen burritos. I sit down to eat my dinner and I notice a large wrapped gift on the coffee table.
    "What's that?" I ask.
"It's your Valentines gift" she replies.
Huh, it was a sizeable box so I knew it had to be something awesome. She had this look on her face as though she knew I would like it or freak out.
So she asks, "Are you going to open it?"
"It's not even Valentine's day yet" I replied.
She said, "So what. Open it!"
I sat there a little while to try and figure out what it could be.
I asked, "Is it something that I have wanted for a while?"
"Yeah, I think so" she said.
I thought about it for a while and then it hit me. Yep, the box is about the right size. I picked it up and sure enough it was about as heavy as what I was thinking. I looked at her and said, "You didn't! Did you?"
As I tore away the paper the green luminuos logo emerged! She bought me an Xbox!!!!!!!!!!
It isn't so much that she got me an Xbox. It's the fact that she is not a big proponent for Video Games in general. She did not grow up with them and sees them as a waist of time. I can understand that. They are a waste of time and that is the point. You can sit back for hours and play, not getting a thing done. That is the fun of it. Well, last night I finally got some time to play. How cool was that. I can't wait till mee little boy grows a wee bit to sit a spell and play Amped with me. That is the game that came with it. It is a snowboarding game that rocks. Took a little while to get used to all the buttons on the stupid controller. Holy Cow! I am used to the old Nintendo controllers that had 2 buttons, 1 control pad, a select button and a start button. This thing has 3 control pads, 4 buttons, 2 right and left buttons, 2 added buttons, a select button and a start button! A lot of hand-eye coordination goes into each game. Well, I have to go now so I can work on that eye-hand coordination!
