    What a great time

As I have said before, It is so refreshing to spend some time in the inner-city. We are back for the second time from Philly. We went there to encourage the members of a church by serving them and the community around them.

    The work projects:
started installing some air conditioning units
put up some trim and a couple of doors for the offices we framed up last trip
    cleaned out a basement
re-plastered a couple of basement walls
    helped at the mosque again
    did some yard work
baby sat some kids so there parents could have a date night
    painted some walls
painted some metal strips for the false ceiling
    framed in a closet

Good news from the Day Camp:
Kids from 5 different Muslim families came for the first time in the church's history
3 families came to Sunday's service because of Day Camp
1 kid truly came to know Christ
40+ kids came to Day Camp
40+ kids had an awesome time at Day Camp
14 of our students experienced what it looks like to love as Christ would love

Good news from the Basketball Camp
20+ kids came to learn skills for Basketball
Ron (our inner-city driver from last trip) helped out
    20+ Basketballs were given away
20+ kids had an awesome time and got to experience Christ's love through Basketball

All in all, you can see that we had a great trip. People have asked which trip was better. I can't say that either trip was better. Both trips had a different set of circumstances and different people. Philly, as far as I can see, will be in my heart for a while and we will continue to keep going out there to build into that community. Let the Lord be Praised!
