Root Canal

Well, inevitably I had to have a root canal yesterday. I had this big gap in-between my teeth and I knew it was not good. Food would get stuck in there, it would hurt every once in a while and one time it sent me to bed crying. That was when I knew I had to do something about it.

Today it is better but still hurts. I sit at home right now when I should be at work. I definitely am a Anti-Dentite! Yeah it didn't hurt much while I got it done but holy cow it hurt afterwards.

Anyways, to put a biblical spin on this sad story, sin is much like decay. The longer you just deal with the pain of a tooth the worse off it will get. I find that it is the same with sin. The longer I don't deal with the sin the worse it gets. The deeper the decay goes in my life.

I think that all of us to a degree are Ant-Dentites in our spiritual lives. There is some sin that we just don't want to deal with and sooner or later we will need a spiritual root canal!
